waiting….. and waiting

So… we are still waiting for our building permit to come through for our house. we should, hopefully maybe supposedly get it in the next week or so… after two months of waiting! As soon as we get that our builder assures us he’ll start right away building our house. I am looking forward so much to a real house, one that’s brand new without any dirt or bugs in it! Then i won’t have much of an excuse to not keep it clean, since it started that way. Mike and I had a huge amount of excitement about our house a few months ago, and spent way too much time watching home shows, decorating shows, landscaping shows, renovation shows etc, and talking about what we’d want to do to our house. Then it kind of dwindled off for awhile…. it’s kind of like Christmas, if you didn’t know when Chrismas was coming, then thought it would be soon, but then you had to wait some more, and some more, and some more… you eventually stop waiting and anticipating because it’s too hard to be excited and then not have anything happen.

hmm. not sure why this post turned grumpy. hehe

otherwise things are good! summer is splendid. we have a huge cascading rose bush covering half our house and our arbor gate that we can’t use because the rose bush thorns’ll get ya.

mike can fart in time with music. sigh. must be a hint to get off his computer.

ampersand is the best dog ever. he’s learning lots of new tricks. he’s one of the best things about coming home after a long day at work. he tries to sit to wait for me to open the door but can’t seem to help wiggling and bouncing in place like a hairy jumping bean dog. too cute. although too slobbery as well.

mike says he likes how my capitalization goes to pot. he’s also quite the spelling critic. hmph
