House

Had a chance to take a few pictures of our house this week. At this point siding and roofing are all done, we have all our exterior doors, including the garage door, the sheetrock is all up and mostly taped. They finish taping tomorrow, and texture Tuesday supposedly, and then hopefully we can start painting the interior Thursday! I’m taking Thurs and Fri off from work to sit on my couch all done while Mike is Vegas for training… oops, I mean, so I can work really hard on our splendid new house getting it all painted before he gets back! Saturday we went to Home Depot and left with 5 carts full of stuff - like 45 gallons of paint and primer, (hopefully) all the necessary painting accoutrements, and a few odds and ends like an axe and a propane tank and a light for our dining room. Fun fun fun.

We also have most of our fence up (forgot to take pictures of that) with the help of my dad (in the form of brute digging force, measuring and leveling ability, and the magic shovel) and it looks great! What we do for our Ampersand… although it does add a lot of aesthetic value to the gravel pit we’re calling a back yard, and gives us a bit of privacy from the neighbors.
