Early

I haven’t had time to blog the last few days (or time to do much else) because I’ve been getting up EARLY and going into work to do paperwork and stuff ahead of therapy. This way, instead of staying later in the afternoon I get to come home about the same time as my dearest and we have dinner together. Although the other night when I came home late after a long meeting he had wonderful tasty english muffin pizzas ready for me. And two kinds even - spinach pesto with goat cheese, and regular ones with fresh pineapple slices on them! YUM!

There’s something startling about getting up early and going outside with the pupsters for our normal morning walk, and even though it’s an hour earlier the sun is up! Somehow the change of the seasons got ahead of me. After my last giddy post about spring it’s ironic that it’s snowed 3 times in the last week! Hehe. It can’t fool me though - i’ve been seeing little leaf buds on trees and when I was at Home Depot yesterday they had cute little flowering fruit trees for sale! I so would have bought one except I have no idea how I would have gotten it home in my compact sedan.

Even though I’m a bit tired now, at the end of the week (because I haven’t figured out how to go to bed early in coordination of getting up early) I still rather like the early mornings. I think partly because I’m more productive, but also because it’s just a change. Change is good :).

As part of my rather slow moving self-improvement project I’m trying to be brave and do new things. So the other night while Mike was out playing grand tourismo I made General’s Tofu (similar to the chicken version) all by myself. Now I do a lot of cooking, so the reason this was brave was that I had to deepfry the tofu, and I’m afraid of oil splattering on the stove, igniting, and burning the house down. But I did it! And it was really tasty.
