I voted today for our local/state election. I even did some research ahead of time on who to vote for. When I got home I went over to the community center and registered to vote, and filled out my ballot. After I gave it the nice old Bayview ladies and they had me state my name one of them said “Cassie Peck has voted” and gave me an “I voted today” sticker.

I’m not given to patriotic tendencies most of the time, but I felt kind of proud just then. Especially as I’d voted against some Texan lady becoming our District Judge. Ha. Take that Texas.
