A real tragedy

All those yummy snackies i listed in my last post that I was taking with me for my Wyoming weekend road trip? I couldn’t eat any of them because I had some weird stomach ailment the whole time. That’s sad. Like puppies left alone in a box sad. Well, ok, maybe not that sad.

Anyway, had a good trip. Nice to see my older sister. Wyoming was pretty. Greyhound bus wasn’t bad, quite a few weirdos on there, but i read books and listened to my iPod and didn’t worry overly much about terrorists the way I do when I’m flying. They don’t even check ID when you get on the bus… just have to show them your ticket. Craziness. It was like going back ten years in security time.

This week’s events and thoughts:

Mike and i got pedometers. I walked almost 12,000 steps today thus far. Helps make up for yesterday when I didn’t go anywhere (I forgot to put my pedometer on).

I bought a $5 old navy perfect fit tee in raspberry, excellent color and price.

My pygmy zinnias bloomed. They’re supposed to be assorted in color but are all pink. I’m ok with this; they match my rosebush.

I spotted a rare-ish wild tiger lily blooming in our backyard. It’s right on the edge of the precipice we made with the bobcat. Lucky flower.

I lost 5 pounds from my sick diet and have thus far kept it off. Hoo ha.

I worked lots… one of my clients started preschool and I went with him today for the first time. This is a huge step in his life - we get to help him apply the skills he’s learned with us during therapy at our center to a new environment. Kind of a test to see if the 15+ hours a week i’ve spent with him for the last 2 years have been productive.

I came home from Wyoming and was greeting by (in addition to Mike, the cat and the amazing jumping dog) a nicely mowed lawn (first time it’s been mowed since we planted it).
