Thanksgiving

Today I am thankful for many things. The ones that top the list include (not in any particular order of importance):

My family (ok, that’s first). I am so glad that my family is great, and that I married into an equally wonderful family, and that we just all sat down together for a delicious meal.

Having good health (the last few days I didn’t feel very well, and even had to go to the doctor and get blood drawn for tests, which took 5 TRIES for them to get the blood. Yech! but it turns out I’m fine). I really appreciate good health and being able to be active and have a body that feels good most of the time.

FOOD. i love food. yumm. like candied yams. and pie. and Izze sodas. and my mom’s biscuits with butter on them. and vegetarian stuffing (never had this dish until I met Mike). and chocolate. and Odwalla fruit puree smoothie drink things (which I survived on the last few days when my stomach wasn’t pleased). and corn cheesy casserole. and everything else that loaded down our table tonight.

The changing seasons. i like winter. I like the change, mostly. it’s snowing tonight.

my really comfy fleecy slippers. I LOVE my slippers. my feet are thankful too.

fun and games and laughing and talking and enjoying the company of family.

Mike Peck, best husband/friend/life partner/turkey barbecuer/tech guy/cutie ever.

My house, full of light and warmth and love and laughter.

Bonsai and Ampersand, pets extraordinaire.

The self-awareness to realize how many wonderful people and things I have in my life.

And lots and lots of other things.
