Whoohoo! I’m in Seattle, with Mike, visiting our friends Dave and Arzhang! And I no longer have giardia so I figured I’d better post about something new.

We arrived Friday in time for a feast of large plates of Itailan food at Buca di Beppo’s, and since then we’ve continued our Seattle weekend extravaganza with multiple trips to the Apple store (Happy Mike), a tour of the Seattle Aquarium, visits to IKEA, REI, and Whole Foods (I could live in that store, I’ve decided. They even have yoga mats for sale, you could exercise without having to leave!), delicious breakfasts and lunches and snacks, and of course, lots and lots of coffee shop visits.

I set the goal for this trip to not go to a Starbucks, but to instead only go to fun Seattle coffee shops, most of which roast their own beans and make super tasty mochas! Dave has considerately driven us all over hill and dale and zooming freeway in his swanky new Audi. Mike is now talking about selling the boat and truck to buy another premium driving machine like Hilda, our lovely VW Passat we traded in for the truck.

It’s wonderful to have a fun weekend away. And to console us when we return home we bought a cool chair and ottoman at IKEA for our living rom. And we’re bringing home coffee. Whoohoo!
